Care of Sir Sissypants

The Care of Sir Sissypants

Feeding

He gets 1.5 goblets of food (finish off the food yola brought then go to the new bag... The old bag that is open and almost empty is probably really stale...) in the AM and in the PM.

If he's hungry, he'll eat.  I've not found him to be a huge eater unless he's just back from the beach.  Then he's starving and you've never given him food ever ever ever.  He gets "drama queen" from his ma.

Walking

First thing in the AM

Before you leave for any significant amount of time

Right when you get back from any significant amount of time

At night before you go to bed

He should get at least one good solid romp a day, and a smaller one on the opposite side of the day.

Walking Locations

Off leash- Bring a handful of the beef liver treats with you and call out "pup-pup" a couple times, have him come to you and give him a treat.  This will teach him to come to you when called... It's nice...

In the park across the street really early or really late (as fall closes in they care less and less, but technically you shouldn't do it ever.)

If you walk to jasmines house, then take that street left and go to the end... There is around there (maybe up a block or two) a fenced in area where the gate is open.  This is a big area with trees and is totally fenced in.  It is an unofficial doggie park.  There will be no one to play with, but it is not as far of a walk as the puppy park.

Puppy parks- are all good.

The rest of the time he should be on leash.  Fines for getting busted off leash can get steep.

Other-

He will drink out of the toilet if he gets thirsty.  The combo of lid down and full bowl of water will get rid of that.

He destroys stuff so rarely, that if he does, he's really really angry

He can take 6-8 hours on his own with no problem.  Getting in to 10+ is pretty mean

You can let him out back for a quick pee

There is a doggie brush (blue) in the pantry if you feel the urge

He is a bed hog, feel free to push him off

He is a dog shaped rug a lot of the time

If he comes to you hyper or points to the door a lot, he probably wants to go out.  He will take advantage of this sometimes, but he's pretty honest if you've been consistent.

There is a woman who walks a large collie on leash around the perimeter of the park out front.  Either keep Spencer away from them or keep him on leash.  She's cranky.
