Apologies for posting so little, but there isn't all that much I feel like commenting on publicly. Rice for Secy of State? We knew that was coming. Et cetera.
Today, Elliot Spitzer, AG for NY, made public what lots of folks have suspected for a while -- he has political aspirations, and he's going to run against Pataki for NY Governor. He's also gotten a lot of flak for aggressively prosecuting white collar crime and getting a lot of publicity from it.
I say, good for him. When Giuliani had that job and was ruthlessly chasing down violent criminals, nobody bitched that he was doing it for his own gains. Given how widespread illegal and unethical business practices are, three cheers for the scrutiny.
Thoughts, anyone?
